Read Your Color is a monthly book subscription operated by Aspen Book Company ("Aspen," "we," "us"). Read Your Color provides the reading-color framework and brand; Aspen Book Company is the seller of record and handles billing, curation, and shipping. By subscribing you agree to these Terms.
Each month we hand-pick three secondhand books matched to your chosen reading color and ship them to you. Books are a surprise — you don't choose the titles, and we don't guarantee any specific title. We may substitute a comparable pick from your color when needed.
Your subscription is $24.99 per month and renews automatically every month. Your payment method is charged at the start of each cycle until you cancel. We use Stripe to process payments; we never see or store your full card number.
Prices may change; we'll give you notice before a change affects you. Taxes may apply where required. Failed payments may be retried, and continued failure may pause or cancel your subscription.
You can cancel anytime through your account/billing portal or by emailing info@aspenbookco.com. When you cancel, you won't be billed again, and you'll receive any box for a cycle you've already paid for. Cancelling mid-cycle does not retroactively refund that cycle.
Our books are gently used and hand-inspected (bookseller grades Good through Like New): intact pages, readable spines, no damage that gets in the way of reading. A copy may carry a previous owner's mark or a price sticker. This is a curated used-book service, not a new-book retailer.
We currently ship within the United States only, typically via USPS. Your first box ships within about 7 business days of your order; renewals ship after each monthly charge. You're responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier.
Because each box is individually curated and shipped, orders are generally non-refundable and we don't accept returns of delivered boxes. If a box arrives damaged, lost, or incorrect, contact us within 14 days at info@aspenbookco.com and we'll make it right (replacement or credit).
Keep your account and payment details accurate. Don't use the service unlawfully or attempt to disrupt it. We may suspend or end a subscription that violates these Terms or for fraud/abuse.
The "Read Your Color" name, reading-color framework, and related content are the property of Read Your Color and its licensors; "Aspen Book Co" and its marks are the property of Aspen. You may not copy or use them without permission.
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aspen is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date and, where appropriate, emailed to you. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
